unit 6
This past week we revisited the Loving Kindness meditation exercise. I found it a little easier this time to stay focus through the exercise. In our reading we were asked to look inside of ourselves at areas in our lives that we feel need to be worked on in order to improve our lives. As I sat and thought about all the areas in my life that I wish were different I stopped myself in though and decided instead to think about all the good and positive things in these areas of my life. It helped me to switch from thinking negatively about myself and my life to positively looking at my life and excited about the wonderful things to come.

The subtle mind
I found myself having difficulties with this exercise this week. However I believe that to be due to having surgery this week and my mind just will not be quiet at this time. I will however be revisiting this exercise after I have my surgery. I am really hoping to have much better results when there is not so much going on. I will post how thing go with retrying it after surgery.
